FAQ courses

Who are the courses for?

All VSETH members can participate in the courses. Exceptions can be granted on request.

What language are courses held in?

The course materials are in English. The courses themselves are held in English if required. If German is understandable for all participants, the courses can also be held in German.

Who's holding the courses?

The respective instructor is visible on the course website. In principle, either board members or members of the photographers pool.

What's the difference between courses and modules?

Courses offer mostly a technical foundation. Modules offer the possibility, to receive practical tips from experienced photographers. They focus more on the creative side of photography.

What previous knowledge is required?

The courses build on each other. Of course, if you already have the knowledge of an "easier" course, you do not have to visit it. But the course "Basics of Photography" is worthwhile for most, because many experienced photographers are not necessarily solid in the basics.

Do I have to bring my own equipment?

You can either bring your own, or borrow one of our cameras. You can indicate this when signing up for a course. If you bring your own, it should offer the possibility to be operated manually. Nowadays almost all cameras, even smartphones, can do that.

How do I pay for the course?

You can pay on the first course day, best paid in cash.

I don't have enough money, can the course fee be waived for me?

It's important to us, that our courses are available to all students. Contact us and we will find a solution together!
